4.3.3 - Cyclonic Separators

Cyclonic separators are a particular design of cyclones. As axial cyclones without flow reversal, these separators are used for coarse operations, and tend to be employed when the disposal of considerable quantities of liquid in the form of large droplets from the compressed air system, if required and may also contain solid particles. The separating efficiency of the cyclone separators is around 98 - 99%.
