Provided by one of the company’s key distributors Dalco Nitrogen Systems, the skid attracted visitors to the stand where they were taken aback with how they can generate their own, onsite food-grade nitrogen and mixed gas cost-effectively safely and easily.
The MAXIGAS system from Parker domnick hunter generates nitrogen gas from compressed air and is an alternative to traditional nitrogen sources used in the food and beverage industry for applications such as MAP (modified atmosphere packaging) gas flushing, pressure transfer and blanketing of food stuffs and raw materials. Visitors realised the opportunity to save up to 90% on nitrogen gas costs which are facilitated by a low life-cycle ownership cost and the elimination of costs associated with cylinder supplies such as refill costs, rising gas prices and
admin charges.
Visitors were equally impressed with the energy efficiency of the system such as limited waste production which is facilitated with gas on-demand functionality (users only need to produce the exact amount which is required), and the excellent economical use of energy due to operating from a small compressor.
The environmentally friendly benefits of the system were also embraced as the generator system removes the need for cylinder deliveries and transportation, thus helping to reduce carbon footprint.
Niall Sutton, Market Sector Manager at Parker domnick hunter comments 'We’ve enjoyed a superb show where we’ve already completed one order and received numerous other prosperous leads. Visitors to our stand were impressed with the working skid and really understood the benefits of making their own nitrogen gas via MAXIGAS rather than purchasing their supply'. Niall concludes 'We look forward to working with the visitors we met this year
and building long lasting partnerships with them in the future'.
In addition to food-grade nitrogen, Parker domnick hunter also offers the industry a host of additional solutions including food-grade compressed air equivalent to ISO 8573.1:2001, sterile gas and polishing solutions which ensure beverage-grade carbon dioxide remains within specification. A comprehensive range of tailored, preventative maintenance contracts via a dedicated global aftermarket network are also available to provide complete peace of
mind.
