Many laboratories operate multiple instruments requiring a supply of nitrogen gas. Commonly used instruments that are notable for consuming large amounts of nitrogen include solvent evaporators and LC/MS instrumentation. In many cases it is not cost effective to fit each instrument with its own dedicated nitrogen generator. A much more cost effective solution involves the use of a larger, centralised nitrogen generator that is able to supply nitrogen to all instrumentation.
