Most laboratories, be they environmental, food testing, pharmaceutical, forensic or chemical use bench mounted solvent evaporators routinely to carry out evaporation of sample extracts. Even the most efficient solvent evaporators use large quantities of nitrogen, especially when many models available are capable of evaporating/concentrating numerous samples simultaneously.
