Nitrogen purging of ICP-OES mono-chromators can extend the working wavelength
of the instrument into the low UV region, typically allowing for the measurement
of sulfur.
Using a nitrogen purge avoids the requirement for a vacuum mono-chromator
instruments when performing the less demanding applications in the low UV region.
The Parker domnick hunter range of UHP nitrogen generators are ideally suited
to ICP-OES purge applications, being able to supply of up to 6 L/min of nitrogen
at purity greater than 100ppm.
