Optimising Your Filtration Operating Procedures

Introduction
Operational procedures, particularly relating to hygiene and disinfection, vary considerably throughout the production process. This may be due to the specific requirements of any particular stage, or as a result of evolutionary change when incorporating new plant or systems into the process.

Whilst there are optimum conditions for each unit operation, typically laid down by the supplier of the plant, it may be possible to design more general operational procedures applicable across a range of processes.

Objectives
The day-long seminars are a forum for discussion of the clarification and microbiological stabilisation techniques applied to products prior to packaging. It will deal with alternative micro-filtration and ancillary processes and will provide a framework for the selection of process, cleaning, disinfection and HACCP procedures during production and onward to packaging.
